A flower in time

As some of you may know I tend to have a black thumb when it comes to growing anything. The only plant I have been able to keep alive recently is a self watering Bonsai Tree. However many of my family members over the years have done a great job of keeping their yards and flowers looking amazing.

Growing plants takes time, and energy and sometimes a little luck much like life. If you put those things into it sometimes, just sometimes you will end up with a beautiful flower. And if you don’t that’s OK as well since hopefully along that journey you learned something.

Today’s photos was taken many years ago at a family friends house. I find myself going back to these photos every now and then since I consider them important to my photographic journey. That particular day was one of the first times I decided to start playing with settings on a camera, and just experimenting. They aren’t the best photos ever but they are pretty and they remind me of a sunny spring day in Connecticut.

If you haven’t done this in a while I challenge you to go back through all those thousands of photos that we all take now and look at some of the older ones with a new perspective, you may be amazed at what you see.
